Champion Energy Services now an electric supplier in Maryland

Houston, September 8, 2011 Scott Fordham, president and CEO, announced that Champion Energy Services has been approved to become an electricity supplier in Maryland.

Champion Energy filed on March 1, 2011 to serve residential, commercial and industrial load in the service territories of Allegheny Power, Baltimore Gas and Electric, Delmarva Power and Potomac Electric Power Co.

The Maryland Public Service Commission recently granted Champion Energy Services a license to supply electricity under license number IR-2196.

Champion Energy currently serves residential, governmental, commercial and industrial customers in deregulated electric energy markets in Texas, Illinois, Pennsylvania, Ohio and New Jersey, with Maryland slated for fourth quarter 2011.
