Building Energy Inc. hires Microsoft veteran to head up sales effort

Chris Preston was named vice president of sales for Portland, Oregon-based Building Energy. He has 15 years experience in software sales both with startups and larger companies including Microsoft.

“Chris built a $600 million line of business at Microsoft and has a proven ability to create value for all stakeholders, and as such is an ideal leader for Building Energy’s next stage of growth,” said Magnus Cheifetz, Building Energy CEO.

Preston graduated with honors in history and art at Colby College and has an MBA from Cornell University.
