Oklahoma Gas & Electric bid-rigging alleged

TULSA, Okla., Sept. 29, 2000 (Tulsa World)–Two Oklahoma Corporation Commissioners accused Oklahoma Gas & Electric Co. on Thursday of rigging a competitive bidding process in favor of Enogex Inc., an OG&E subsidiary that supplies natural gas.

Oct. 2, 2000–Sioux Falls-based NorthWestern Corp. said it will acquire Montana Power Co.’s electric and natural gas transmission and distribution business for about $1.1 billion in cash, including approximately $488 million in existing Montana Power debt.
