ICP Global Signs Deal with Coleman

ICP Global Technologies, the world’s largest manufacturer of solar products for consumers, signed an exclusive licensing trademark agreement with The Coleman Company Inc., worldwide distributor of products to the camping, automotive and hardware markets under the Coleman, Powermate and Exponent brands.

Montreal, Canada – June 24, 2003 [SolarAccess.com] “This alliance effectively places the top brand for camping and outdoor products in the world ahead of many others in its environmentally friendly offerings of solar powered energy alternatives to consumers” said Sass M. Peress, chief energizing officer at ICP Global. “Research and innovation will continue to be areas of focus permitting sustainable growth of our mutual businesses.” Coleman is excited about pioneering this leading edge technology with ICP Global” said Gary Jones, vice president of Strategic Alliances at the Coleman Co. “Coleman has been powering outdoor lanterns and stoves with propane and liquid fuel for decades. The ICP-designed solar products allow Coleman to bring nature’s power source, the sun, to consumers that need electric power for the house or cabin and in other more remote outdoor locations.” ICP will introduce its first product in distribution with the Coleman Solar Power Electric Generator Kit which will help run small DC appliances such as lights, radios and ventilation fans. The units are great for emergency backup power, remote cottages and other applications. In addition, ICP has completed a technology partnership with Global Solar Energy (GSE) to integrate high efficiency flexible solar cells into Coleman branded solar products. GSE’s technology will now be featured on a number of Coleman branded products for 2004 season. Initial products will include: flexible solar technology on tents and portable solar charger for camping electronics such as GPS systems.
