Supplier of thermal processing equipment BTU International signed a US $2 million contract with a European fuel cell manufacturer. The order is for a turnkey production line for manufacturing solid oxide fuel cells (SOFC). The system features multiple convection heat treat drying systems, BTU’s elevator hearth system for high temperature sintering, multiple screen-printing systems, a laser marking and bar code reading system, and automated handling equipment to fully automate the process. Company President Mark Rosenzweig said this is the first order the company has received for a fully integrated SOFC production line.
