Latest Subaru WRX is going to have 2.0L Turbo-charged Flat-Four

Subaru has said that its latest 2013 Subaru WRX is going to be powered by the turbocharged variant of its latest FA 2.0L direct-injection flat-four that had initially been launched in its BRZ sports car. Subaru has not spoken a word on what is going to feature under the hood of the next STI but industry experts believe that it is certainly going to be an even powerful rendition of its 2.0L WRX.

The present 2013 Subaru WRX has been provided with 265Hp 2.5L turbocharged flat-four and though this car has a lower displacement, it does not seem that the output of the next car is going to come down. Although no information has been made available about the upcoming STI, it has been made known that it will have a minimum power of 300Hp. Both the cars are going to be moved to a single dedicated platform while being redesigned. This is a significant deviation from the past. Subaru also plans to bring down the weights of its future models, which the market is reacting happily to. The possibility of the same engine also being used in the Scion FR-S or the BRZ has been denied by Subaru, though market analysts are not buying this statement.
