Industrial services provider WorleyParsons has announced a deal to acquire a leading engineering and project management operation in Brazil hydropower.
Australia-based WorleyParsons agreed to acquire Sao Paulo-based CNEC Engenharia, the stand-alone engineering and project management operation of Brazil’s Camargo Correa, for US$98 million, the companies announced.
In addition to being established in Brazil’s hydropower market, CNEC Engenharia is also involved in thermoelectric plants, oil and gas refining and other industries.
CNEC has around 700 employees and has offices in Brazil, Argentina and Peru.
