Western Electrical Services wins contract for breaker upgrades at Lower Monumental

WALLA WALLA, Wash. 3/6/12 (PennWell) — The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’ Walla Walla District has awarded a contract worth almost US$44,000 to Western Electrical Services Inc., for work at the Lower Monumental Dam.

As per the contract, Western Electrical Services will provide breaker upgrades at the 810-MW facility, which is on the Snake River in Washington.

The Corps most recently took bids for work on the project in January 2012.

Other work being performed at Lower Monumental includes fishway outfall modifications and bridge crane rehabilitation.
