SION, Switzerland 12/20/11 (PennWell) — Contractor Hydro Exploitation SA seeks bids for refurbishment of electrical panels as part of rehabilitation of the 390-MW Nendaz hydroelectric project, a development of Switzerland’s 2,099-MW Cleuson-Dixence hydroelectric complex. Bids are due January 11, 2012.
Nendaz is one of four power plants in the hydro complex on the Rhone River. Others are 1,269-MW Bieudron, 290-MW Fionnay, and 150-MW Chandoline. It is operated by Grande Dixence SA, which owns the project with Switzerland’s Alpiq Group.
Hydro Exploitation took bids in May to replace six voltage regulation systems at Nendaz.
The contractor now seeks bids to rehabilitate electrical panels of six turbine-generator groups at Nendaz. The work is to begin in March 2012 and be completed in August 2016.
Bidding documents may be obtained until January 6, to be downloaded from the Simap system for European public procurement at http://www.simap.ch/shabforms/servlet/Search?NOTICE_NR=716789. Bids, in French, are due by noon January 11.
