SAN DIEGO, Calif., Jan. 28, 2003 — SeaWest WindPower Inc. announces the addition of two new senior managers with significant utility industry experience to strengthen its O&M and Data Services businesses.
Martin Crotty has been hired as the senior vice president, operations and maintenance, reporting to Christian Engsted, SeaWest’s president and CEO. Dr. Soumen Ghosh has been hired as senior product manager, data services, reporting to David Roberts, senior vice president, strategy and planning.

Martin Crotty, senior vice president of operations and maintenance, brings 18 years of management, operations and maintenance experience in the energy industry. Crotty is responsible for leading SeaWest’s service organization in providing cost-effective management, operations, maintenance and administrative functions for project owners that optimize financial performance of each wind energy project.
Prior to joining SeaWest, Crotty gained significant experience in management of power plant operations and maintenance. In his most recent role as Director of Operations for the Western Region of NRG Energy, Crotty had overall responsibility for operation and maintenance of varying technologies that totaled over 3,000 MWs of generating assets.
Crotty graduated from the New School for Social Research with a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Resources Management and received a Master of Engineering Management degree with a concentration in Environmental and Energy Management from George Washington University.
Soumen Ghosh PhD, senior product manager, data services brings 15 years of SCADA and Data Analysis product development and service experience to SeaWest. Dr. Ghosh is responsible for the continuing development of SeaWest Data Services through integration and adaptation of various utility information systems including SCADA, Real-Time Data Analysis, CMMS, and Process Improvement through information systems.
Dr. Ghosh spent 5+ years at ABB System Control and more than 9 years at CMC developing and implementing SCADA systems for various national and international clients including CAISO and Tri-State G&T. While at ABB, Dr. Ghosh managed the development and implementation of SCADA products and services, and a development team comprising of 15-20 software engineers.
Dr. Ghosh graduated from the University of Wyoming, Laramie with a Doctorate of Electrical Engineering, and received his Masters degree from I.I.T and Bachelors degree from Jadavpur University, India.
