Products and Services Group Focuses on Deregulation

Siemens Empros Power Systems Controls is addressing new regulatory requirements by combining company-wide application and software expertise into a new products and services group. The new 20-person team, comprised of applications specialists and software integration experts, will focus on providing products and integration services that help customers determine technology solutions for their changing business needs in the approaching deregulated marketplace.

Siemens` SINAUT ACES, an accounting, contracts and energy scheduling software program, assists in dealing with energy contracts as they increase in number and complexity. Other product and service offerings include SINAUT Inter-Utility Control Center Protocol (ICCP), Available Transfer Capability (ATC) and Transmission Services Information Network (TSIN). These offerings are designed to be incrementally procured and integrated to maximize the flexibility of phased solutions, allowing customers to meet the needs of deregulation according to their timetable.
