Jeff Leahey, deputy executive director of the National Hydropower Association, expresses his optimism about what is happening this week in the Nation’s capital during the NHA’s annual conference.

In additon to his outlook, Leahey will be the session lead for three speakers who will address conference attendees about NHA policy updates and a look ahead to the future as 2014 midterm elections will bring new faces to Washington, D.C., along with a new political dynamic.
Each of the session panelists work in Washington, D.C. and they include Rebecca Blood, vice president of Wexler Walker; Donna Flynn, executive director, Washington Council Ernst and Young; and attorney George O’Connor of Brunini, Grantham, Grower & Hewes, PLLC.
The policy update session “will bring together legislative and regulatory policy experts, Hill staff, and agency representatives to discuss the impact of the elections and the outlook for movement on the issues of importance to the hydropower industry — hydropower regulatory improvements, tax reform and extenders, clean energy policy, and more.”
