NHA announces Castle as keynote speaker for annual conference

WASHINGTON, D.C. 3/21/12 (PennWell) — Anne Castle, assistant secretary of water and science with the U.S. Department of the Interior, will be a keynote speaker in the opening plenary session at the National Hydropower Association’s Annual Conference.

Castle was confirmed in June 2009 and oversees water and science policy for Interior. She also has responsibility for the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation and U.S. Geological Survey.

Other keynote speakers include:

— Jose Jayas, program manager for the U.S. Department of Energy’s Wind and Hydropower Program; and

Cheryl A. LaFleur, commissioner of the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission.

NHA’s Annual Conference runs April 16-18 in Washington, D.C.
