The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers invites expressions of interest from firms capable of upgrading the switchyard of the 517.8-MW Garrison Dam project on the Missouri River in Garrison, N.D. Responses are due May 3.
The Corps awarded a $3.89 million contract in 2010 to Koontz Electric Co. Inc. for rehabilitation of station service at Garrison.
The Corps’ Omaha District currently seeks information on small businesses capable of performing the switchyard upgrade, valued at between $10 million and $25 million. Work is to include a design-build contract to remove a 115-230 kilovolt autotransformer bank, remove and replace 23-115 kV and 230 kV high-voltage circuit breakers, remove and replace manual and motor-operated high-voltage disconnect switches, and associated equipment.

Responses are to be submitted using a Sources Sought Information Form from a link in the notice labeled “Additional documentation.”
