OMAHA, Neb., U.S. 3/15/12 (PennWell) — The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers seeks bids for six crane inspections and engineering reports at the 320-MW Fort Randall hydroelectric project on the Missouri River in South Dakota. Bids are due March 27.
The Corps’ Omaha District took bids in 2010 to replace excitation systems at Fort Randall.
In a solicitation set aside for small businesses, the Corps now seeks inspections and engineering evaluation reports on six cranes, a 10-ton spillway monorail crane, a 20-ton tailrace deck gantry crane, two 150-ton powerhouse overhead bridge cranes, a 100-ton-untanking house overhead bridge crane, and a 125-ton intake structure gantry crane.
