Spillway bridge, canal chute repairs sought at U.S. 26-MW Green Mountain

The Bureau of Reclamation seeks bids for repairs to a spillway bridge and a canal chute at the 26-MW Green Mountain hydroelectric project in Summit County, Colo. Bids are due July 22.

Green Mountain, an earthfill dam on the Blue River, is part of Reclamation’s the Colorado-Big Thompson project.

Reclamation seeks bids for work including removal and replacement of: the spillway bridge deck, damaged concrete on spillway bridge abutments and pier and gate hoist platform, asphalt paving, damaged concrete on the Elliott Creek Feeder Canal Chute. Also included is furnishing and installing: expansion joints on the spillway bridge, safety guardrail, bridge railing, and ladders. The contractor also is to backfill a void under the canal chute and install concrete along the canal chute for erosion control. The work is valued at between $1 million and $5 million.
