Peru utility seeks study of 105-MW San Gaban 3

Peru utility Empresa de Generacion Electrica San Gaban S.A. (EGE San Gaban) seeks bids for development and supervision of a pre-feasibility study for the 105-MW San Gaban 3 hydroelectric project. Bids in separate solicitations are due June 27 and July 19.

EGE San Gaban completed the 110-MW San Gaban 2 project, sometimes simply called the San Gaban project, in 1999 on the San Gaban River in Peru’s Puno Department. It also plans to develop San Gaban 3, 110-MW San Gaban 1, and 130-MW San Gaban 4.

Bids are due June 27 from consultants to supervise performance of the San Gaban 3 pre-feasibility study by other consultants. The supervisory work is valued at 51,000 soles (US$16,185).

Bids are due July 19 from consultants actually to perform the San Gaban 3 pre-feasibility study. The study work is valued at US$380,000.
