Invenergy Wind Begins Construction on 130.5 MW Texas Wind Farm

Scurry County, Texas [RenewableEnergyAccess.com] Invenergy Wind LLC, through one of its wholly owned subsidiaries, is adding 130.5 megawatts (MW) to its wind energy portfolio with the development of the Camp Springs Wind Energy Center in Scurry County, Texas. JPMorgan Capital Corporation provided an equity commitment and arranged for additional commitments to provide equity financing upon commercial operation. The wind farm will consist of 87 General Electric 1.5sle wind turbines. Construction of the project, which is Invenergy Wind’s first in Texas, began in the fall of 2006; commercial operation is expected in June 2007.
