India’s Himachal Pradesh Power Corp. Ltd. (HPPC) invites expression of interest from consultants to assist in contract administration and project implementation of three hydroelectric projects in Himachal Pradesh State totaling 454 MW. Responses are due August 22.
The consultancy is to assist in development of three of four run-of-river projects HPPC hopes to develop with funding from the Asian Development Bank (ADB): 111-MW Sawra Kuddu on the Pabbar River (HNN 8/6/08); 243-MW Integrated Kashang (including Kashang Stages 1-3) on the Kashang River (HNN 3/20/08); and 100-MW Sainj (or Sanj) on the Sainj River.
The fourth project for ADB funding, not included in the current solicitation, is 402-MW Shongtong Karcham (or Songtong Karcham) on the Satluj River. (HNN 2/7/08)
The scope of work is to include: assistance in administering awarded contracts; preparation and evaluation of bidding documents; contractors’ claims; quality control; a project performance management system; administration of a periodic financing request; and implementation of loans.
Consultants are invited to submit expressions of interest and qualifications of no more than 15 pages to the address below by 4 p.m. August 22. The submission is to be in an envelope labeled �EOI for Consultancy Services for Contract Administration and Project Implementation.� Request for proposal documents are to be issued only to short-listed consultants.
