India developer seeks carbon study for 2,400-MW Tehri complex

India developer Tehri Hydro Development Corp. Ltd. (THDC) seeks bids for a feasibility study of marketing carbon emissions reductions for the three-project, 2,400-MW Tehri hydropower complex. Bids are due December 11.

THDC seeks a consultant to perform a feasibility study of the Tehri complex projects for certified emission reductions or voluntary emission reductions. The developer seeks consultants having experience preparing a feasibility report for at least two projects.

The Tehri complex includes 1,000-MW Tehri Dam, 1,000-MW Tehri Pumped-Storage project, and 400-MW Koteshwar project. (HNN 3/31/08) Tehri Hydro Development Corp. is a joint venture of the Indian government and Uttar Pradesh State.
