EDF seeks penstock valves for 16-MW Saillant, 22-MW Neuvic d’Ussel

Electricite de France (EDF) seeks bids to replace penstock valves and related equipment of the 16-MW Saillant and 22-MW Neuvic d’Ussel hydroelectric projects in France’s Correze Department. Bids in separate solicitations are due May 28.

Work on Saillant, on the Vezere River, and Neuvic d’Ussel, on the Triouzoune River, is part of EDF’s ongoing program of rehabilitation of its hydropower portfolio. (HydroWorld 5/5/10)

For Saillant, EDF seeks two replacement butterfly valves of inside diameter of 1,500 millimeters and hydraulic controls. For Neuvic d’Ussel, the utility seeks two butterfly valves of inside diameter of 1,800 millimeters and related equipment. Work for each project is to be completed in 18 months.
