Ecuador seeks studies of three projects totaling 96 MW

National utility Consejo Nacional de Electricidad (Conelec) seeks bids for pre-feasibility studies of three hydroelectric projects totaling 96 MW. Bids are due November 15.

Conelec invites proposals for pre-feasibility studies of:
o 40.4-MW Parambas, on Mira River, Imbabura Province, estimated to cost US$89.9 million;
o 36-MW Pilaton-Santa Ana, on Pilaton-Santa Ana River, Pichincha Province, US$49.4 million; and
o 19.7-MW Pamplona, on Intag River, Imbabura, US$42 million.

Bidders must register and obtain documents from the address below or from the Internet site of Conelec, www.conelec.gov.ec, or Ecuador’s government contracting site, www.contratanet.gov.ec. Clarifications may be obtained until November 8.
