Bolivia utility seeks design, bidding documents for 5-MW Huacata hydro project

Bolivia utility Empresa Electrica Valle Hermoso (EVH) seeks bids to perform final design and to draft bidding documents for construction of the 5-MW Huacata hydroelectric project in Bolivia’s Tarija Department. A bidders meeting is set August 31, with bids due September 11.

Other hydro projects under way in Bolivia include 120-MW Misicuni, 1,600-MW El Bala and 200-MW Miguillas.

EVH seeks bids to perform a study of final design and to develop bidding documents to construct, equip, install and commission the Huacata project. The work is expected to require 300 days at a cost of 3.4 million bolivianos (US$494,460).

A bidders meeting is set for August 31, with questions due by September 7.
