Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd. (BHEL) invites expressions of interest by July 1 from firms to supply balance of plant (BOP) packages to India hydropower projects where BHEL is the turnkey contractor.
The equipment manufacturer said it expects to carry out four to six projects annually, increasing to six to eight projects in the next two to three years, and ten to 12 projects in the next five to six years. It said the projects all involve design and supply of BOP packages in addition to the main generating units built by BHEL.
BHEL seeks expressions of interest from qualified firms to supply one or more of the following packages: 1. EOT cranes; 2. Passenger elevators; 3. Diesel generating sets; 4. Oil-filled transformers; 5. Generator circuit breakers; 6. SF6 circuit breakers; 7. Heating, ventilation, and air conditioning; 8. Firefighting equipment; 9. Illumination systems; 10. Public address systems; 11. Closed-circuit television, security, and surveillance systems; 12. Communication systems; 13. 33-kilovolt switchyard systems; 14. Electrical workshop packages; 15. Mechanical workshop packages; 16. False floor systems; and 17. OPGW and fiber-optic cable.
