Former Siemens Gamesa boss joins Voith Hydro as head of customer service

The former CEO of North Europe and Middle East at Siemens Gamesa, Sunil Pandiri, has joined Voith Hydro as chief service officer, effective July 15, 2024.

Pandiri is part of the global Board of Management of Voith Hydro and as chief service officer he will continue to strategically expand the company’s service portfolio.

The role was newly created in order to optimally meet the requirements of customers and their hydropower plants.

Pandiri started his career in 2004 as a project manager at Jindal Steel & Power Ltd. in India. In 2006, he joined Siemens and in the following years held various positions in international sales, product management, strategy, operations and general management functions.

Between 2017 and 2019, he was responsible for the global service business for steam turbines. From 2020 to 2022, he was CEO of the Siemens portfolio company Sykatec GmbH. Most recently, he held the position of CEO of Region North Europe & Middle East at Siemens Gamesa.

In addition to his mechanical engineering studies, Pandiri holds an MBA degree from IESE Business School in Spain, a digital diploma from IMD in Switzerland, and has completed a Harvard General Management Program in the US.

Voith Hydro Division, part of the Voith Group, is a full-line supplier and partner for hydropower plant equipment.

Its range of products and services covers the entire life cycle and all the main components for hydropower plants, from generators, turbines, pumps, and automation systems to spare parts, maintenance and training services and digital solutions for intelligent hydropower.
