Wisconsin Electric, Skygen Energy announce power purchase agreement

SkyGen Energy has several natural gas-fired projects in the region under development, and more specific information about the facilities generating the electricity will be announced shortly. The first facility should begin providing Wisconsin Electric with power by the spring of 2002.

Dec. 6, 2000–The Midwest ISO has intervened at the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission in the proceeding surrounding the complaint of the New York ISO (NYISO) against the New York State Electric and Gas Corporation (NYSEG) alleging that the NYSEG violated its obligations as a customers under the NYISO’s Open Access Transmission Tariff (OATT) by unlawfully withholding $6.635 million that it owes the NYISO and is required to pay pursuant to the NYISO’s OATT.
