West joins Cardno as hydro relicensing specialist

Cardno Inc. announces that Crystal West has joined the company as a hydro relicensing specialist, focused on supporting clients’ hydroelectric licensing and power and water development projects in California.

West has more than 12 years of experience in specialized environmental and archaeological work, Cardno says, including her recent role as senior project manager for Federal Energy Regulatory Commission licensing and compliance at Southern California Edison. She has experience in cultural and environmental resources and National Historic Preservation Act, California Environmental Quality Act and National Environmental Policy Act compliance support. West has managed multiple hydroelectric projects, including several for environmental compliance for FERC licenses, according to a press release.

“Cardno is fortunate to have someone like Crystal on our team to support our clients’ big power and water projects,” said Ed Bianchi, Cardno project manager.

West will be based out of the company’s Sacramento office.

Cardno is an infrastructure and environmental services company with expertise in the development and improvement of physical and social infrastructure.

In other recent news, Dr. Andrew Simon with Cardno was a co-author on a paper that won a Technical Paper of the Year Award at HydroVision International 2017.
