Trung Son Hydropower Project Management Board invites expressions of interest from consultants to supervise construction of access roads and bridges for the 250-MW Trung Son hydroelectric project on Vietnam’s Ma River. Responses are due March 31.
The World Bank is considering a proposal to provide US$330 million in financing for construction of the project at Trung Son in Thanh Hoa Province. (HydroWorld 11/20/08) Trung Son is to include an 88-meter-tall dam on the Ma River and a 250-MW powerhouse, being sponsored by Electricity of Vietnam.
Trung Son Hydropower seeks consultant services including supervision of construction quality, quantity, progress, and labor safety of the access road work, plus an environmental management plan. The project includes a 21-kilometer road, Cu Luong bridge, Co Me bridge, and five medium-sized bridges. The contract is to require 15 months beginning in September.
