Utility seeks bids to build two Austria projects

Utility STEWEAG-STEG GmbH seeks bids to build two 18-MW hydroelectric projects on the Mur River south of Graz. Bids are due February 19.

The company seeks bids to establish the 18-MW Gossendorf and 18-MW Kalsdorf projects. Work includes planning, manufacture, supply, and assembling of two 9-MW horizontal Kaplan turbines at each site. The units are to be designed for flows of 100 cms and heads of 11.11 meters.

Work is to be carried out between August 2007 and August 2011.
