Stender leaves NAES, forms consulting company

John Stender, former director of business development with NAES Power Contractors, is now chief executive officer of Beacon Hills Consulting Services. The company will provide project management, construction and maintenance consulting services.

Projects Stender worked on while with NAES include the 36-MW Terror Lake facility in Alaska, the 12-MW Yelm plant in Washington, and Cowlitz Falls Dam in Washington.

Stender has 45 years of senior leadership, craft management and administration experience in the construction, retrofit and maintenance of power generation facilities. Before joining NAES, he was senior project manager with Eimco Process Equipment.

Stender has served as a member of the HydroVision International steering committee and is a member of the Western Energy Institute.
