Hydro operator SFE Produksjon AS invites applications for pre-qualification to supply a replacement turbine runner and to refurbish turbine components at the Askara 2 hydroelectric project in Bremenger, Norway. Responses are due August 20, 2009.
SFE seeks a new Francis turbine runner designed for a head of 530 meters, a flow of 9 cubic meters per second, and a speed of 750 rpm. It also seeks restoration work on the turbine. The Askara 2 contract is valued at between 2.5 million and 5 million kroner (US$401,240 and US$802,155).
Pre-qualification documents may be obtained from SFE’s consultant, Norconsult AS, at the address below.
Applications for pre-qualification, in English or Norwegian, are due by noon August 20 to the address below. Invitations to bid are to be sent August 31 to a short list of five to six firms.
