Pressure pipe sought for Clapeys small hydro in France

SAEM SOREA of France seeks bids for supply and installation of pressure pipeline to deliver water from a new dam to the proposed Clapeys small hydroelectric project at Saint-Jean-de-Maurienne. Bids are due September 18, 2009.

SAEM SOREA is soliciting work for the small hydro project in four lots: civil construction of a dam; supply and installation of pressure pipe to connect the dam and powerhouse; powerhouse construction with integrated equipment, particularly an overhead traveling crane and cofferdams; and supply and installation of electro-mechanical equipment including valves, turbines, and electrical equipment.

The current solicitation is for Lot 2, pressure pipe. Work includes earthwork, supply, and installation of the pipe and accessories, concrete construction, and fill.
