NHA calls for nominations for 2018 Board of Directors

The National Hydropower Association is calling for nominations for its Board of Directors for 2018, entrusted with setting the strategic direction and policies that govern the association’s activities.

John McCormick, vice president of safety, river management and environmental at the Tennessee Valley Authority, is serving as the chair of the nominating committee. McCormick was NHA president in 2016.

To nominate someone for the board, send a brief bio of the candidate, along with contact information, to [email protected] and [email protected] no later than Aug. 1.

At the Board of Directors meeting in September, the nominating committee will present the nominations slate for approval, and ballots will be mailed to NHA members in early October. The newly elected board members will begin their four-year terms in January 2018.

Candidates must be NHA members in good standing and must be able to travel to attend at least four of the five annual board meetings.
