New turbine deadline for Austria’s 240-MW Kaprun-Hauptstufe

Verbund Austrian Hydro Power has extended the deadline for pre-qualification applications to supply a spare Pelton turbine for the 240-MW Kaprun-Hauptstufe project in Austria. Responses now are due May 30.

The utility seeks a spare Pelton turbine of 2,255 millimeters in diameter for Kaprun-Hauptstufe, the main stage of the Kaprun complex, which also includes 112.8-MW Kaprun-Oberstufe (upper stage), and 500-kW Klammsee.
