The government of Mozambique invites applications for a hydrologist to oversee rehabilitation of Nacala Dam and reservoir at Nacala, Mozambique. Responses are due May 12.
Mozambique’s Ministry of Planning and Development and the U.S.-backed Millennium Challenge Corp. formed a five-year compact, Millennium Challenge Account-Mozambique, which is advancing the Nacala Dam project. The program is intended to reduce poverty through economic growth in Niassa, Cabo Delgado, Nampula, and Zambezia by focusing on physical assets investments, policy reform, capacity building, and institutional strengthening.
The government last year called for studies, design, and construction supervision for Nacala. (HNN 10/28/08)
