MiniMax Corp. acquires Maier Engineering Inc.

ST. PAUL, Minn., April 2, 2003 — MiniMax Corp. announced the acquisition of Maier Engineering Inc.

Maier Engineering specializes in GIS services that complement the activities and needs of MiniMax’s existing utility clients. MiniMax’s new Services Division will offer all the services and training necessary to create a functional GIS system including: base map creation, field collection, data integration, data conversion, facilities management database design, geodatabase implementation and consulting services.

In addition to their utility offerings, Maier Engineering adds expertise in areas including Facilities Management, Telecommunications, and Environmental Services.

Corey Maple, MiniMax’s President said, “Maier Engineering and its employees bring tremendous electric and telecommunication utility experience to MiniMax. Their expertise in the areas of GIS, facilities management, engineering, and project management will complement our extensive utility centric product lineup. Our customers have asked us to provide services that complement our products. This acquisition will certainly satisfy their needs.”

Sean Solberg, MiniMax V.P. of Development said, “We’ve found Maier Engineering and its employees, through past experience on joint projects and other dealings, to be competent, fair and honest. MiniMax’s and Maier’s customers will greatly benefit from our newly expanded capabilities.”

Steve Bruggeman, Maier Engineering’s GIS Services Director, said, “This is a good thing for Maier. We’ve worked closely with MiniMax for a long time, and I see Maier Engineering bringing a wealth of GIS experience to the development and use of StakeOut. Our unique field data collection tools, built around the core StakeOut engine, enable us to offer data collection services unrivaled in the utility industry. Our innovative approach allows us to rapidly collect data with highly experienced personnel and directly create a GIS.”
