Lange named member of Voith Hydro management board

Kirsten Lange was named a member of the management board of Voith Hydro, effective Sept. 1.

According to a statement from Voith Hydro, Lange is responsible for business development, including after-market business, plant engineering, and automation.

Lange completed undergraduate studies at LMU Munich in journalism and business administration. She then earned her Masters of Business Administration from the INSEAD Business School in France.

Before joining Voith Hydro, Lange worked for the Munich-based Boston Consulting Group as a manager and partner. She consulted in a number of countries, including China, the USA, Russia, and Brazil.

Her work involved operational improvements and adjustments, as well as implementation management and strategy. Voith Hydro states that Lange consulted with more than 100 companies in her time at Boston Consulting Group, largely in the areas of process industries and plant and machine construction. Additionally, she managed the group’s paper industry and served as an advisor for power plant construction.

 HydroWorld recently reported that Voith Hydro signed two pumped-storage development deals in China and Austria.
