HYDROVISION International debuts new conference tracks, schedule for 2024

The annual global hydropower industry event, HYDROVISION International, will feature new conference tracks in 2024 and a new event schedule.

Responding to feedback from event attendees and exhibitors, Clarion Events reconfigured the schedule for HYDROVISION 2024 and condensed and reconfigured the conference tracks.

In Denver, Colo., U.S., next July, HYDROVISION will feature five conference tracks:

  • Environmental Issues and Water Management, chaired by Efrem Teklemariam, Manager, Water Resources Department, Manitoba Hydro
  • Equipment and Technology (in the Knowledge Hub), chaired by Tom Harnetiaux, Vice President of Sales, Basler
  • Industry Trends and Analysis, chaired by James Kiel, Chief, Mechanical Systems, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers
  • New Development, chaired by Norman Bishop, Executive Engineer, Current Hydro
  • Operations and Maintenance, chaired by Amanda Smith, Operations Project Manager, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers

Additionally, the schedule of the event has changed. HYDROVISION International will take place July 15 to 18, with educational programming all four days and the exhibition taking place July 17 and 18.                             

July 15 and 16 will be dedicated to the Waterpower Hydro Basics course, Technical Tours, workshops such as our new Hydro Hands-On (H2O) Courses and Waterpower Hydro Basics 2.0, and the Global Symposium for Large Hydropower Plant Operators.

On July 17, the day starts with the opening keynote session, followed by opening of the exhibit hall and conference program in the summit and knowledge hub. July 18 will start with mega-sessions (plenary sessions on big-picture topics and trends in the global hydropower industry), followed by day two of the exhibit hall and conference program. The day and the event conclude at 5 pm on July 18.
