Hydro Review applies for BPA circulation audit membership

Hydro Review magazine has applied for business publication membership in BPA Worldwide, a global media auditing organization.

BPA Worldwide will track circulation for Hydro Review based on business/distribution, demographics, and geographic coverage. The hydropower industry magazine, which is published by PennWell Corporation of Tulsa, Okla., will have 12 months to complete its initial circulation audit.

“The strong growth of Hydro Review has made it a perfect time to apply for membership with BPA Worldwide,” Publisher Richard Baker said. “Our firm commitment to our recipients and advertisers will be enhanced by our future membership in BPA.”

BPA Worldwide President Glenn Hansen welcomed the magazine’s application.

“We applaud the publisher for providing advertisers and prospects with the solid assurance of an independent circulation audit conducted according to our world-respected, uncompromising standards,” Hansen said. “With a BPA audit, media buyers can be confident that circulation claims are accurate, and that they have the verified data that they need to assess a publication’s effectiveness in serving its market.”

The circulation of Hydro Review’s sister publication, HRW – Hydro Review Worldwide, has been audited regularly for several years by BPA Worldwide, ensuring the validity of the international magazine’s circulation claims.

BPA Worldwide has been a not-for-profit organization since 1931, now having the largest membership of any media-auditing organization in the world. Its membership spans more than 30 countries. Headquartered in Shelton, Conn., BPA is governed by a tripartite board of media owners, advertising agencies, and advertisers.
