Basler Electric promotes Rhodes, Harnetiaux

Basler Electric Company announces that Ken Rhodes has been promoted to executive vice president and Tom Harnetiaux to vice president of sales and marketing.

Rhodes has been with Basler since 1983, holding various positions in the engineering and purchasing departments. Previous positions include director of supply chain, sales manager for the power systems group, director of sales, and most recently vice president of sales.

In his new role, Rhodes will oversee the sales, marketing, engineering and manufacturing departments. He also will manage E2 Power Systems LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary that the company acquired in 2017, as well as Basler’s facilities in Suzhou, China, and Singapore.

Harnetiaux joined Basler in 2011 and has worked as a market segment manager for power generation, then director of global sales and most recently vice president of marketing. Before joining Basler, he was senior marketing analyst with a display and scoreboard solutions manufacturer.

In his new position, Harnetiaux is responsible for developing and growing Basler’s presence in the worldwide marketplace, according to a press release.

Basler designs and manufactures automatic voltage regulators, genset and engine controls, protective relay systems, excitation systems and custom transformers for the industrial, commercial, original equipment manufacturer and utility markets. The company is headquartered in Highland, Ill., U.S.
