ENER-G Procurement shortlisted for two prestigious energy consultancy awards

ENER-G Procurement has been shortlisted for two prestigious energy purchasing and management consultancy awards.

The independent business energy broker has reached the final of the Energy Live News Awards (TELCA)  – in both the Large Consultancy of the Year, and Industrial and Commercial (I&C) Most Trusted Consultancy categories

Mark Alston, Director of ENER-G Procurement, said: “We’re enormously proud to have reached the national final of the highly respected TELCA awards.  Our achievement is all the sweeter in that it was our customers who nominated us for the Large Consultancy of the Year Award.

“We believe that ENER-G leads the industry in terms of fair play and transparency.  Buying energy is much more than securing the best price on gas and electricity. We work closely with business customers  to understand their needs and provide an energy  procurement strategy that meets their precise objectives; whether based on risk appetite, consumption requirements, budget or Corporate Social Responsibility.”

ENER-G Procurement  is a founding member of energy broker watchdog the Utilities Intermediaries Association (UIA) and a member of its Council. It is also part of the Ofgem Third Party Intermediary (TPI) working group, which is developing an industry wide code of practice.

ENER-G has championed consumer rights for many years – campaigning for measures to deal with the problem of ‘rogue brokers’, for  regulatory changes on ‘deemed’ and ‘out of contract’ rates, and for the removal of the automatic renewal process/rollover on contracts.

Award winners will be announced at a ceremony in London on 19 June 2014.
