DISTRIBUTECH International has opened its “call for committee”— an invitation to electric utility industry experts to craft and curate the educational program for North America’s largest transmission and distribution utility event.
On the heels of a record-breaking event in Orlando that welcomed more than 17,000 industry professionals, the event is gearing up for DISTRIBUTECH International 2025, which will be held in Dallas, Texas next March.
DISTRIBUTECH International is committed to promoting a diverse electric utility industry and encourages professionals from all backgrounds to apply. Electric utility employees are of particular interest — especially those who work in cybersecurity, policy, and transmission — as well as city managers and sustainability directors working on smart city plans.
“The DISTRIBUTECH International technical conference is built for the industry by the industry – those that support our committee have the opportunity to drive real changes within the transmission and distribution markets,” said Stephanie Kolodziej, vice president of transmission and distribution at Clarion Events. “DISTRIBUTECH is more than just an event, it is a community and year after year our attendees come to learn about industry and to see the latest trends in technology – be a part of the largest, most influential energy event in the US.”
The DISTRIBUTECH International advisory committee is comprised of executives, consultants, and engineers from all sectors of the energy industry, including electric utilities, engineering firms, trade associations, consulting firms, government agencies, and other suppliers important to the energy industry.
The purpose of the advisory committee is to fully develop and complete the DISTRIBUTECH International conference program. This includes developing conference tracks, defining session and Knowledge Hub content, and ensuring that program content is of maximum benefit to the energy industry professionals targeted as DISTRIBUTECH International attendees. This is accomplished through a review of submitted abstracts and panel content.
“DISTRIBUTECH is a big event for utilities, and we invest in sending participants. As a committee member, I can help ensure we provide great content for attendees to learn about innovative tools and processes, while also hearing from our peers. Personally, I’ve also found it rewarding to meet other committee members and learn from others in the field,” said Karen Kinslow, Dominion Energy’s vice president of distribution operations.
