VICKSBURG, Miss., U.S. 1/20/12 (PennWell) — The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers invites proposals for various research and development topic areas under its Engineer Research and Development Center.
The ERDC issued a “broad agency announcement,” saying responses are due Jan. 31. However, the announcement said proposals may be accepted at any time.
ERDC consists of the Coastal and Hydraulics Lab, the Geotechnical and Structures Lab, the Environmental Lab, and the Information Technology Lab in Vicksburg; the Cold Regions Research and Engineering Lab in Hanover, N.H.; the Construction Engineering Research Lab in Champaign, Ill.; and the Topographic Engineering Center in Alexandria, Va.
Broad agency announcements may be used by agencies to fulfill their requirements for scientific study and experimentation directed toward advancing the state of the art or increasing knowledge or understanding rather than focusing on a specific system or hardware solution.
