Mobile turbine energy firm APR Energy has appointed Ron Crowell as its new chief financial officer.
As APR Energy CFO, Crowell will oversee all financial aspects of the company, including financial planning and analysis, reporting, accounting, treasury, tax planning and compliance. He will also build and foster APR Energy’s relationships with lenders, auditors and external financial advisors.
“As APR Energy continues its aggressive plans for growth around the world, a professional of Ron’s caliber will support our organization by maintaining and enhancing the financial health and security of the company,” said Charles Ferry, APR Energy’s President and Chief Operating Officer. “Ron’s background of managing capital and growth for Fortune 500 companies will help stimulate and drive business improvement initiatives while managing compliance and related matters. He is a very valuable addition to our team.”
Crowell has more than 25 years of finance experience, launching his career as an auditor and consultant at KPMG. In his previous role at World Fuel Services, Inc., Crowell served as senior vice president of finance, where he oversaw a global portfolio of markets that had annual revenues of approximately $9 billion, with more than five-billion gallons of fuel sold annually.
He also successfully served in senior global finance roles at GE and KBR, Inc., which included international assignments in Wales and Singapore.
“It is both an exciting and pivotal time to join APR Energy. As the company’s financial functions continue to strengthen and align with our exponential growth strategies, I am looking forward to the future with great optimism,” said Crowell. “The skills and experience nurtured throughout my career have equipped me to build on APR Energy’s global footprint and to continue establishing the company as a major power provider around the world.”
Having earned a dual Bachelor of Science in accounting and finance from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale, Crowell is a CPA, CGMA and a member of both the Emeritus Board of Advisors and Financial Executives International.
