24/7 Biodiesel Terminal Stores 52 M Gallons

Hammond, Illinois [RenewableEnergyAccess.com] Petroleum distributors around Chicago can now access biodiesel 24 hours a day, 7 days a week via Gulf Hydrocarbon’s Wolf Lake Terminal, located just south of Chicago. The facility allows tankers, transport trucks and rail cars to add 100 percent agri-biodiesel fuel (B100) to their diesel fuel mix. The terminal has a capacity of 52 million gallons total storage. Retail gas stations will now have easier access to biodiesel blends, opening the door to more public pumps in the area. NBB estimates that 27 petroleum terminals have invested in equipment to make biodiesel a significant part of their business.
