OMAHA, Neb. (AP) — Nebraska’s largest utility offers several programs to help reduce the cost of purchasing an electric vehicle and installing a charging station.
Customers of Nebraska Public Power District and the utilities it serves are eligible for the aid, which could include as much as $4,500 in assistance.
NPPD CEO Pat Pope says these grants can help make an electric vehicle more affordable. And the utility will receive information from the charging stations that will help it plan better for electric vehicles.
The Nebraska Public Power District says it works with the Nebraska Environmental Trust and the Nebraska Community Energy Alliance to offer the programs. More details are available online.
