Wind Farms Planned for Australia

May 15, 2002 [SolarAccess.com] Australian independent power producer, Pacific Hydro, will build four new wind farms in Victoria as part of the Portland Wind Energy Project (PWEP). They will generate 680 gigawatt hours of electricity annually. The Environmental Effects Statements on the project contain projections of the PWEP’s contribution to reductions in carbon dioxide emissions by up to 900,000 tons per year.
