Vallecitos Water District Unveils SPG Solar System

San Marcos, California [RenewableEnergyAccess.com] The Vallecitos Water District (VWD) will dedicate its recently installed solar photovoltaic (PV) carport system in honor of the late Paul A. Davy, former VWD Director and the visionary for solar at the District’s headquarters. SPG Solar, Inc. of San Rafael, CA, designed and installed the system. SPG Solar, Sharp Solar, along with San Diego Regional Energy Office (SDREO) will help VWD flip the switch on the 340.9 kW AC solar system. When VWD’s system is officially connected to the utility grid, VWD will earn credits at the utility’s retail electric rates, ultimately reducing 90% of their utility electric costs. SPG Solar, Inc. was formerly Sun Power & Geothermal Energy Co.
