Uganda Solar Energy Gets OK

Uganda [The New Vision] The Electricity Regulatory Authority (ERA) has granted permission to power firms intending to generate 100MW of electricity from solar and garbage wastes. Energy System for Africa (ESA) and the North American firm, Naanovo Energy Inc., a joint venture applied to ERA for a permit to generate 50 MW from sunlight and another 50 MW from garbage recycling under a build-own-and-transfer model.
