SolarCraft Completes Agricultural Solar Energy System in California

Novato, California [RenewableEnergyAccess.com] SolarCraft has completed installation and commissioned a 1.1-megawatt (MW) solar energy system at Paramount Farms’ orchards and processing facility for pistachios and almonds, in Lost Hills, California. The ground-mounted system, Uni-Solar Amorphous Thin Film Photovoltaic (PV) panels, located on eight acres, will pay for itself in approximately six years. SolarCraft has installed more than 4,000 solar energy systems in California that account for more than a million square feet of solar energy collectors, saving customers $6.5 million and eliminating more than 24,000 tons of greenhouse gases annually.
